I'm a freshman here as of 2022. I have had an amazing experience with the faculty and staff, and it has been so easy to settle into school with this facility. There is so many accommodations and everyone is understanding. You also get experienced artists as teachers and it's easy to get to know other students. I'm really learning what it means to be an artist, and all the things in between.

Recent Graduated! KYCAD IS A WONDERFUL COLLEGE TO COME FIND YOURSELF AS AN ARTIST. They challenged artist to critical thinking skills and encourage artist to develop and other creative skills. They introduced me to the whole art scene in Louisville KY and took us to see art and other cities and out the country. I’m proud of how the school has grown since I been there and I’m certain that this school will be the face of art in Louisville KY in the years to come. I came in as a traditional skill artist with design background and left as a contemporary sculptor working in multimedia and 3D design. Thank you KYCAD!!

I speak from the point of view of a recent student, and from one who has experienced other colleges. My KYCAD education has been invaluable, and between the excellent faculty, staff and leadership, I cannot begin to think of how a better experience or education could be imparted to a student. The program entirely caters to the needs of the student, who are given incredible opportunities for input on their educational path. The individual attention from respected and highly knowledgeable artists and educators is a gift. As a result, I have grown in my journey as an artist and person immeasurably and am grateful for every opportunity KYCAD as a whole has given me.

Long story short, after going independent they got rid of the majority of their founding faculty members, who happen to be some of the most brilliant, talented, and generous artists and thinkers I’ve ever had the privilege of working with. I don’t know many alumni who have much of anything positive to say, as the place seems hellbent on leaving its original intent and ethos in the dust. Truly heartbreaking to see what’s become of a place that had so much promise.

KyCAD in its current iteration has worked very hard to build a very questionable reputation for itself, and I’d think twice before associating myself with that reputation if I were a young artist in the area.

Wonderful college with excellent staff and curriculum. It is unfortunate to see a possible disgruntled past student recruiting friends who have never even been students at KYCAD to leave poor reviews, with no regard to the current students or hard working faculty and staff. I guess that is the current state of self entitlement and selfishness with sad individuals.

This school not only has a great curriculum, it is imparted to the students by top notch faculty. The leadership, staff, and faculty members truly care about the future success of the students!

A beautiful school/mansion/art space ! The staff are absolutely lovely and so kind. The people are welcoming and they keep the space clean , open, and beautiful .

Located in Old Lou, their admin offices are located in the historic Speed mansion at the corner of Ormsby Ave and Garvin and their Student Studio Building resides on 3rd street around 3 blocks from Broadway.
