One of my favorite BSA Camps in OK! I love this place! Very nostalgic for me also considering I’ve been camping here since I was a kid and worked here for my first job! I love everything about it! Especially the part about coming back as an adult Scouter and training others to be better leaders for today’s youth. Camp George Thomas is a great place to have trainings, complete with everything you need….dining hall, craft pavilion, trading post, rifle and archery range, two big fields for camping and flag ceremonies, several campsites, a swimming pool, new storm shelters and so much more! Family camps are awesome here too!

Our Pack LOVES coming here every year for Resident Camp and their Fall Family Camp! The staff is always great, the boys (and parents) always have a great time, the facilities and grounds are well-maintained (particularly considering you are Camping)!

George Thomas was the first place I ever camped. I was young... I was terrified. I loved every second of it! I learned and experienced things I never would have had the opportunity to do if it weren't for scouting. Camp George Thomas is where I made many fond memories and formed many lasting friendships that I still enjoy in my adult life. If your child has the opportunity to go, make sure it happens. They'll be making great memories.
I'd love to take my family on a weekend camping trip at George Thomas for nostalgic purposes.
I'm glad to see that it's still very popular!

This camp is great for cub scouts as a resident camp and in October fall family adventures. The camp is always clean with great restrooms and showers and great food. It's very close to the Wichita mountains wildlife refuge
