Expensive for what the service is...asking for access codes that I was never given. Had to contact support to have a duplicate camper deleted from my account because their system added him twice and I was unable to edit it myself. Not very user friendly. I do like the idea of sending notes to my kids while they are at camp even if they don't respond. For me, support has been responsive and helpful so far.

a scam it is. I paid to communicate with my child during her 6 days summer camp just to find out she never received a single message. The messages were supposed to be printed and handed to the children.

The service is cumbersome to set up and expensive for what it is. It is also a rip off that credits cannot be shared between family members. I wish our camp did not use this service.

Site is horrible. Very expensive and doesn't deliver. Trying to pay is a nightmare and I'm glad now that I wasn't able to. Looking forward to hearing first hand experiences at camp instead.

I understand that they didn't end up sending the emails to my daughter at her camp the detection service started working also. Seemed to have improved the following year however.

Website does not seem as slow as people make it seem. It does seem expensive for what was given. I do wish I was able to tell if the letter was received. I also think it is a little crazy to send a simple letter it is only 1 credit but to send one back from the camper it is 2. This worked well because it was my daughters first time at camp but I think next time I would plan accordingly and snail mail.

POOR customer service! I accidentally bought bunk notes for the wrong camp for the camp my daughter previously attended. Customer service told me to buy credits for the correct camp and they would reimburse for the wrong camp. Now that I paid another $100- they have rolled all of the credits into one account, so I have $200- worth of bunk notes half of which will go to waste. They will not reimburse me after many requests. A few years ago it was $25- for the same service, which seemed reasonable. I wish the camp would charge us directly and the money would go to them instead of another company that doesn't care about customer service and doing the right thing. Next year I am going snail mail.

AVOID this company at all cost!!!

If they say they will refund you, make sure they do. Here is an email I received...

"Thanks for contacting Bunk1!

We've refunded your account $16.80, which you should see reflected in your records in the next 3-5 business days.

Please let us know if you have any other questions - we'd be more than happy to help!"

When I followed up on my refund, they said my refund was denied. As you see in the email, it states my refund was supposed to be processed with my bank, not being reviewed. I have disputed it with my credit card company, because I would not trust a follow up email claiming they are refunding me.

I have never come across a company who agrees and states in an email they they are processing a refund, and then just changes their mind without communicating with the customer.
