Daughter attended the two week filmmaking camp in Manhattan. The films that she created were fabulous! She made great friends, loves NYC, and would recommend the camp to anyone who loves filmmaking. The process from enrollment, to check-in, and departure all went very smoothly. Thanks SOCAPA!

. My daughter Scarlett attended SOCAPA for the first time last summer and loved it so much that she is attending again this summer. We were blown away by the quality of the program and the level of talent from both the staff and the students attending the program. I can not recommend SOCAPA highly enough.

My son had an amazing experience in the Songwriting program at SOCAPA NYC in 2022! It exceeded his and our (already high) expectations. The teachers/counselors were mature, creative and inspiring; the other campers were friendly, artistic and mutually supportive; the leisure activities were exciting and well-supervised. He was thrilled to create, record and perform his original song live, and found it very cool to collaborate with SOCAPA Film campers to make his video. He will be returning to SOCAPA! Highly recommend if you are passionate about your chosen Art.

My daughter attended this amazing film camp in NYC last summer and absolutely loved it! At first, she was apprehensive about being away for 3 weeks, considering she had never been away from home for longer than 2 nights, but her concerns quickly subsided. By the end, she wasn't ready to come home and would have stayed longer. The environment was very collaborative, and the students' films were highly creative. I enthusiastically recommend this camp to any budding writer or filmmaker.

Our daughter went to her first SOCAPA camp in NYC as a film student in the summer of 2022 as a fifteen year old, and she's headed back again in 2023 because it was such an AMAZING experience!!!! We live in Utah and don't have a lot of opportunities for teens and the film scene and this really gave her not only a great experience with film, but also new friends and memories for a lifetime. We were so pleased with how it was organized, her security while staying in NYC, and that she loved it so much she wants to go back - thank you, SOCAPA!!!

Our daughter spent last summer in the beginner film program and had a great experience making 3 short films. She can now shoot, find music and edit pieces and is looking forward to coming back to the advanced program this summer. Thanks SOCAPA for the great experience!

I experienced a lot from SOCAPA last summer. It is something that I have decided would be a good place to come back to this coming summer. Something that I would have changed about my experience last summer, is that I was not put into many scenes in our movies that we made so I did not have as much screen time as I should have had. Other than that, the acting experience there was pretty straight forward and our instructors were amazing. They knew what they were doing and I felt very free at this camp.

I love SOCAPA! I've spent one summer on the Manhattan campus and I plan on returning! The teachers & staff are all so friendly, kind & fun! I got to learn SOOO much about film while also making great new memories! 10/10! Definitely recommend.
