Deer Mountain is an incredible day camp. Roberta and Carol are experts at what they do. The staff is kind, friendly and professional. They take pride in their jobs and genuinely love to be at Deer Mountain. The facilities are spotless. My son loved every activity and blossoms there year after year. Additionally they are incredibly accommodating (and happy to be) for our kosher dietary needs. There is nothing I would add or take away from this gem of a camp. Thank you!!

I just wanted to take a moment to share with you how fantastic this camp really is and all that they did for kids during the 2020 Pandemic. I know this was a very trying summer for all. This year was tough on camps too. So many preparations, so many changes, but DMDC managed to take a chance and make the best of it and offered a great program for our kids. My son loved to participate in all the summer activities. He came home every day happy. The best part is it helped him with social skills again and it helped him stay fit. In comparison, he didn't gain any quarantine weight like his counterparts from school did because they stayed inactive all summer. He loved art outdoors, he loved grill cooking instead of indoor cooking, he love archery, gaga, swim, basketball, softball... all of it.

The best part for my son was Color Olympics. He was so happy to be on the White Team and to have won that he came home telling me I was right, he would love camp. Camp was awesome this summer. He told me thank you for sending me to DMDC.

I wanted to thank the entire staff on their safety measures and for keeping the kids safe for 6 weeks. Not a single person contracted the virus. I can't believe the summer is over. I want to cry that camp ended! Tears of joy for giving us weeks of activities and happiness and tears of sadness that the summer has came to an end.
Thank you again for making Quarantine 2020 memorable in a good way.

My two daughters have been attending Deer Mountain Day Camp for the past 5 years, and cannot wait to go back each year- it's truly the highlight of their summer. They have built very special relationships with the counselors and stay in touch with the returning (and new) campers throughout the year. The range of activities and events are incredible; they love the Carnival, boating, late night and Color Wars, to name a few. They've built confidence through their instructional swim classes and riding the zip line, and have enjoyed the spirited team-building games with their cohort. The grounds at DMDC are fantastic, and we're thrilled to get them out of the city daily to be immersed in the beautiful natural surroundings. The camp did an incredible job this summer in particular, by running a safe refuge for the kids during the pandemic, without any incidents. All the logistics were very well considered and they maintained strict protocols, which was very reassuring as a parent. It was the kids' saving grace this summer more than ever, and for that we're so grateful. Can't wait to be back again next year!

Deer Mountain is an integral part of my family. I started as a camper in 1979 and my kids started in 2007 and 2011. To say that we have all grown up at Deer Mountain would not be an overstatement. When it was time for my own children to start camp, it never even occurred to me to look anywhere else. That was not a mistake! They have both had the same wonderful experiences I had as a camper, but have also benefited from the camp's evolution to the 21st century. The staff, program, special events, etc are all amazing. My kids have learned so many valuable skills (the least of which being amazing swimmers) and made lifelong friendships at Deer Mountain. They have had counselors they look up to and are true role models. They feel safe to try new things, yet always look forward to the annual camp traditions too. As a parent, I have always felt confident in their safety (physical and emotional) being in good hands at camp. I recommend Deer Mountain wholeheartedly!!

Our daughter's camp in Orange County closed suddenly just two weeks before summer. Luckily, we found in Deer Mountain everything for our daughter and much more. She starts her third year soon (she's now nine), and enjoys every minute of it. Our five year old son will start this year as well. Both are eagerly counting down the days to summer camp.

We are extremely satisfied with Deer Mountain. It's a top-quality day camp experience - even better than her previous camp, and certainly much more than I had as a child. The facilities, activities, food, and staff are excellent. We know that our children will be enjoying a picture-perfect camp experience for many years to come. If you want the most amazing and caring experience for your child, look no further than Deer Mountain.

I have loved Deer Mountain since I was 5 years old. I was a camper, counselor, division leader and now my 2 boys go there as well. I cannot say enough about what they do at this camp. EVERY family is treated as an individual. The child as a whole is the priority! When it was time for my boys to go back to camp I looked around. I live in Stamford, Connecticut and there are plenty of camps between here and Deer Mountain. However, I did not find one that could compare in facilities, camper/counselor ratio, or program. This is the reason I travel an hour a day to take my boys here. It’s only March and they have been asking about going to camp since November. They spent their time in the nursery last year and loved every second of it. This year my older son will move up to Feshman boys and he is looking forward all of the new activities he gets to try. I suggest taking the time to tour the camp if you’re looking for an amazing camp that will help your child grow as an individual both physically and mentally. It’s a wonderful way to spend the summer that you will not regret.
