Al Razza is the best art instructor for students of any age. I started taking lessons with Al in high school, and through his lessons I discovered I really loved painting. He helped develop my painting and drawing skills and create a portfolio of work worthy of a full scholarship to Savannah College of Art and Design. What sets Al apart is, he really cares about his students and is always there to support them in their artistic careers. He wants to see you succeed. It's been about ten years since my first class with Al, and I continue to learn from him and seek his advice all the time. If you're a beginner, or if you're already an artist in need of additional challenges or instruction....go to Razza School of Art!

I have been studying oil painting in Al Razza's classes for about 10 years and highly recommend his school. Al Razza has the rare combination of being an accomplished artist as well as an excellent teacher. In his classes you will find students of all skill levels and ages..from those just starting to learn to those who have been painting for years. Al Razza helps each student on a one-on-one basis.

I signed up for a class with no knowledge of this studio, only the notion that I might enjoy painting. I've never left! This is a true art studio, not a gathering place to socialize while everyone dabbles with paints, all painting the same picture. Al Razza is an accomplished artist and an excellent teacher. In group classes, he tailors instruction to each individual. He makes sure you master the basics. Then he guides you to your strengths, while also pushing you to challenge yourself and discover your potential for creativity. The diversity of students is wonderful - from teenagers preparing to study art in college, to adults looking for an oasis after a demanding workday, to retirees enjoying time to expand their horizons. If you are interested in exploring your artistic side, this is the place to be!

I had taken drawing lessons for eight years in different night classes. But to pick up a paint brush and actually move paint around, I needed a teacher who could guide me to overcome my fear of failure and bring that inner me out who so fervently wanted to Paint! That was 12 years ago. Al Razza, one of South Florida's most accomplished artists, has the unique ability to assess each student individually and imbue each of us with his zest for getting our buried artistic abilities out on canvas. My biggest 'breakthroughs' have been in Al's classes. Those breakthrough paintings I never sell. If anyone would want to find the artist in yourself, I guarantee Al will help your bring him out.

Al is a great art teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed his classes for several years until I acquired the confidence to keep going on my own. He masters a wide variety of mediums and techniques. I follow his work on saatchiart as he is always reinventing himself. He is very knowledgeable about art history and will frequently cite painters or styles for you to research on your own. I am always amazed at how patient he is. He will repeat important concepts until you learn them. He will motivate you to try new things and will let you experiment, always letting you know if you are about to make an obvious mistake, until you find your own voice.
I think we are very lucky to have an artist and teacher of his caliber here in Coral Springs.
