I participated in an event at The Artsy Backyard over the weekend and it was so amazing! We did a flower arranging lesson taught by a local florist (who is also Ronit’s daughter!) and then made paintings of our arrangements.

Ronit is super sweet and was there to welcome us and assist throughout the class- she also laid out snacks for everyone which was very thoughtful since it was a 3 hour event.

Keenan was such a great teacher - she was kind and funny, and demonstrated everything while also walking around to help us.

Everyone at the event was chatting and it was just all all-around very wholesome and fun time! I’d love to come back again soon - thank you!

We had a FABULOUS time at The Artsy Backyard! We hosted a company party at this location with 18 people (but they can accommodate up to 30), and it was a great location.

Reaching out: Ronit is who you will chat with, and she was great at communicating via phone and email. She is great with letting you know what to expect, what you can/cannot bring and the price was not bad.

Location: Mainly street parking that is pay to park, BUT there are a few shopping centers near by that didn't mind missing a few spots. If you go on the weekend, its free parking after a certain time.

Building: Super cute brick interior for those Instagram shots. There is a bathroom, and room to set up tables for food, drinks, and what ever else you will need.

The Class: We were assigned two teachers that were kind, courteous and patient as we were all a little nervous to put paint to canvas.

I 100% suggest that you book with Ronit and her team for your team event get together. I know they also host classes, and many other events that we will definitely be looking into!

We had our daughter's fifth birthday here. It was a great success. Ronit is amazing to work with and her teaching background shines through. The communication was easy , the space was organized and inviting, and everyone including the parents had a great time. If your kid is into art, I would 10 out of 10 recommend the Artsy Backyard for a birthday party venue!

Our daughter has taken art classes and has attended The Artsy Backyard camps over the past several years. She has been taught by the owner as well as her staff. It's a quaint study on La Brea. The environment is absolutely lovely and supportive. Our daughter has become familiar with art by some of the masters as well as more contemporary artists. She has worked in different mediums and always comes home with exciting pieces for us to hang up. Most importantly, she thoroughly enjoys her time at the studio and with the teachers (who seem incredibly knowledgeable). Plus, she has made very nice friends during each class, which always makes a parent happy! We highly recommend The Artsy Backyard.

Ronit helped us have the best company bonding event by coming to our office. We all had the best time, her materials and set-up were perfect, and we all got to paint cactuses. We will talk about it a month later and look forward to paint night round 2! Highly recommend.

I recently planned a corporate event hosted at the Arty Backyard and it was a hit!! Ronit, the owner of the studio, and Heather, our instructor, went above and beyond to make the class a special and memorable experience for our team who work remotely in Los Angeles. They were able to accommodate a large group of 26 very well and can accommodate up to 30. The instruction by Heather was engaging and effective, she found ways to connect with each and every one of us. Ronit was incredibly helpful to us and communicative when it came to planning, set up, and managing the event day off. Everyone had a great time painting and interacting with one another in way that we typically don't have a chance to. We're so happy with how everything turned out!

Went in for a watercolor class on a Sunday morning. So relaxing and I learned so much! Our instructor Keenan was super lovely and and very talented. Ronit who is the owner was also there and so welcoming and accommodating. There were people of all levels there, and I, a beginner, did not feel intimidated because they took the time to explain it with patience and the exercises were so easy to do with lots of clarity. I’ve been practicing all my new techniques. I was surprised at the lovely pumpkins I painted! I can’t wait to go back. 10/10 recommend <3

Owner Ronit is very knowledgeable and patient, making her the perfect match for young children. She and her staff made party setup easy, and I enjoyed seeing the kids turn into little artists.
