My daughter is thriving at Expressions. She takes piano lessons from Miss Barbara and absolutely loves it. My daughter had a baseline understanding of the fundamentals when she started a few months ago. Miss Barbara met her where she was. She allowed my daughter to skip over the songs that were a little too easy and did not challenge her. She is patient but firm and has empowered my daughter to try new, difficult pieces. She's so excited for the winter recital coming up!

Barbara is an experienced and talented piano teacher who has been wonderful with my son. She is incredibly patient, kind, and always makes him feel at ease. Barbara teaches in a step-by-step manner, explaining each note and ensuring he understands before moving forward. Her calm and encouraging approach has made my son genuinely enjoy his lessons, and he looks forward to every class. We’re so grateful to have found such a dedicated and supportive teacher!

I have two girls who are learning instruments in EMA. Ms. Kendra is their teacher, she has as much as patience for my kids, which is what I want to appreciate. She encouraged my kids to practice home every day with limit time, which can let them insist doing a same thing yet not feeling boring. My kids like Ms. Kendra very much, they felt much happy when they came to her lessons. Besides, the front desk ladies/ gentlemen are as much as they can to answer questions, and support customers.

I highly recommend Expressions Music Academy and teacher Aidan. He is so loving, caring, and music knowledgeable. His class is so fun, and my sons love it so much. He enjoys every game and every assignment/activity and has learned so much so far.

I take guitar lessons at Expressions Music Academy. I'm very happy with my teacher Josh. It is also great that when I'm not able to make it to a lesson I can have it recorded and work on my lesson when I have the time. All the staff there have been outstanding.

I brought my son to Expressions Music Academy in Ashburn because of their Animal Adventure program where kids are exposed to multiple instruments along with music theory. My son wanted to try different instruments and I was happy to find a place who would do that for his young age. Although, we are on our third instructor, they have all been great. The first instructor moved to a different day/time that didn't work for us, but Expressions found a substitute and later a permanent instructor that worked with our schedule. We have now worked with Mr. Izzan both in the studio and on zoom. He does a fabulous job teaching the material and having copious amounts of patience for my young son. I'm not a huge fan of doing zoom instruction (of any kind) with a three year old child, but it has been a viable option when folks are ill. We look forward to continued fun music lessons with Expressions and hope you will check them out too!

I have enjoyed the sessions that I have for piano. I have Barbara as a tutor and she has not only done the lessons with me but explained and scaffolded the tunes that I play. She has helped me become more confident in playing as well. The people at the front desk are helpful and kind as well.

I have been super impressed with the music academy from the trial lesson, registration, front desk assistance and off course the lessons provided by Ms. Barbara Tom. I am so glad she is very accommodating to the student needs and takes the extra effort to explain the music/principles before moving onto a new lesson. She has been wonderful and highly recommend the music school and Ms. Tom.
